1st Workshop for Building Research Bridges between Xihua University, China and Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania
On 12 May 2025, the Faculty of Civil Engineering of UniTBv, together with Xihua University, School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, organised the first collaboration workshop between the two institutions – Collaboration Through Research CTR2025.
The event took place online and brought together more than 25 presentations in the field of civil engineering. Research results of colleagues from Xihua University and from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of UniTBv were presented in areas such as earthquake engineering, steel structures, geotechnics and foundations, and construction materials.
The event aimed to build bridges of collaboration between the two faculties and to provide a platform for academic staff, researchers and PhD students to present their research results and development activities. It also gave participants the opportunity to exchange new ideas and experience in applying research results, to establish research relationships and to find partners for future collaborations.
We were honoured to have with us the Vice-President of Xihua University, Prof. Yong-Bo Shao, who opened the conference.
Through the content of the presentations and the discussions that took place, this scientific event achieved its goal of promoting the exchange of ideas on current topics and the latest developments in construction and civil engineering.
